Kirk will be coming home on Wednesday. Mike and Alicia are going up with their motor home to get Kirk and Laura. The oncologist in Cleveland said today that Kirk will be able to have another chemo treatment in a week or so. They are going to try to get in with an oncologist closer to home. The docs in Cleveland will still be in touch and follow his progress, however it will be easier on him to be able to travel to and from his treatments closer to home. He will need a doc close to home in case he gets a fever. Laura sounded good on the phone tonight. I think they are excited to finally be coming home. They miss the boys and their families and friends. Thank God he is coming home. Continue to pray for his healing and strength to continue the treatments.

Kirk and Laura,
I am so thrilled that you guys are coming home on Wednesday. You both continue to be in my thoughts and in my prayers. Just remember Kirk, if you need any laundry done, let me know... ask Matthew, only a few things of his are pink now. Just kidding. As always, let me know if there is anything that I can do.
Love ya!
Alexis
Kirk & Laura,
Wonderful to hear that you are coming home soon! You know that we are only a phone call away if there is anything that we can do.
God bless you both,

Kirk and Laura,
We are very happy that you are going to be coming home. We are hoping that Dallas will come home from Rehab on Wednesday as well. Sounds like it will be a good day for all. Have a safe trip home and we are continuing to pray for healing for Kirk and peace and rest for all of your family.

Hey, Maybe you can pretend to be a Nashville music star as you travel in a big motor home down the interstate!
So very wonderful to hear you are heading south soon. I saw a large poster in the hallway near the gym at RRHS addressed to Kirk. Everywhere I go in the county I meet people praying for you all.
Have a smooth trip down.
Blessings & hugs, Becky and David

Kirk & Laura,
I know you are elated to be coming home, this may be the best medicine yet. Try to rest for the trip, and be careful.

Dear Kirk,Laura,Matthew,and Chase,
I know how excited you must be to be coming home. Although you must follow certain procedures and eat the "right" foods and take the "right" medicines, please remember the power of laughter, and never forget the power of prayer.
When my Dad had cancer, he tried really hard to make it easy on me because I was his main caretaker. He always tried to find humor in every situation....the treatments, the medicines, the doctors, the visitors, etc...
One day after bringing him home from a scheduled radiation treatment, he lay down to take a nap. I woke him about 30 minutes later to give him his medicine and to check on the area where he received radiation.
When I had him turn his head, I was horrified when I noticed a "glow" coming from his neck. He had asked one of his nurses to get him a glow stick. He put it in his pillow case to make me think that the radiation had "lit him up".
To see my Dad laugh that hard still makes me smile. Hang in there! We love you.
