Hello everyone. Kirk is having a great day. He will be coming home on Wednesday! I promise that is not an April Fool's joke. Laura said that they are taking away the IV nutrition (this has a technical name, but I can't remember it) tomorrow because Kirk is going to have to start eating more on his own. He will be having another chemo treatment soon. Laura said that they are going to decide whether to go up to Cleveland to take it or someplace closer. They are not sure at this time exactly when or where this will be.
Please remember when he gets home that his immune system is low due to the chemo and he needs to rest. We will all have to let him have his rest and not visit for a few days after he gets home. I know that he and Laura both appreciate everyones concerns.

I have been diagnosed with cancer. The cancer is of unknown primary which means they do not know where it originated. I have several tumors on the bone. I have be working with the Cleveland Cancer Center and an oncologist in Abingdon. This site is for my friends and family to see how I am doing each day. Thanks for checking in. Hey, Kirk and Laura. Glad to hear that you are feeling better each day. Hope you continue to do well. The boys, Shane and me keep you all in our prayers each day. God is good, all the time! He answers prayers everyday, two of our sweet babies are testament to that, coming through their medical problems like they have. You will, too. I just learned of this site over the weekend and wanted to pass along my well wishes and especially my prayers. My husband Jeff is recovering right now from Renal Cell Carcinoma - they removed his left kidney 3 weeks ago along with a tumor the size of a soccer ball. God was with us throughout the whole ordeal and we felt His power, mercy and grace in a powerful way. I know that God can heal and those intercessing on your behalf will not let the prayers stop. You are an inspiration to many with your positive outlook and beautiful family - this journey will not be in vain.

Glad to hear everything is getting better and better, even happier to hear your coming home. If there is anything you need before you get here to prepare for your homecoming or anything you need once you get home, just remember we are right down the road and we'd be happy to help anyway we can. Keep eating and getting stronger and we will continue to keep you in our hearts and prayers.
I know the boys will be so happy to finally have mom and dad home.

Michael just came home from eating pizza with Granny Shirley and Matthew. I marvel at how blessed we are to have such great kids.
Chase had a great game yesterday... that devil is aggressive. He will shoot a goal! (It amazes me that they understand the stratagy of a game that most of the adults don't have a clue about.)
RR is greening up... I'm glad your turn at being green is over. I look forward to your return! We need you both home.

Hey guys, It's great to hear the good news. Monica made a good point about the visiting, you do need your rest and you'll need to boost your immune system. So, Willie and I won't come around until we get the word your up to it. But, you know if there's anything that you need done, let us know.
