I talked to Laura around 4 pm today. She said to thank everyone for coming to the healing and prayer service this afternoon. There were many people there to pray for and support Kirk and Laura. The pastor had given her a copy of the service last week and she read it to Kirk this afternoon around 2:15 while we were here having the service. She said that he was not having a very good day today. He woke up sometime last night and was feeling nauseous again. She said they were probably going to do some more tests tomorrow. Look at the stomach and make sure the stint is still in place and do another CT scan of the stomach. They are talking about a feeding tube if he still can't eat in a couple more days. It has been about 5 weeks now and he really has not eaten much at all. Laura said that she will probably go a hotel via a shuttle bus tonight to get a good nights sleep and a shower. She found a computer in the hospital that she can access the Internet on. She can get on this blog and read your comments, but she cannot sign in to post hers. So, I will continue to do my best to relay her messages to you, and you keep the comments coming to them. Thank you again for everything everyone has done to help out.
Monica

Hey Kirk and Laura,
Whenever anyone says anything bad about "today's kids and teenagers" I will have to tell them how hard Matthew Heldreth is working and how hard his buddies help him. Chase is such a great kid, and watch him with a soccer ball! (Can't tell him it isn't an American Sport, Kirk!) They are having so much fun! Talk about 2 parents who have something to be proud of! Kirk and Laura, somepeople can't go out for an evening because they can't trust their kids, you guys have so much to be proud of! My love and prayers are with you. Live strong!
Love,
Michelle
Dear Kirk and Laura,
We just found out about this site last night. You have been and will remain in our prayers every day.
Kirk, you were one of the first people we knew when we moved to Rural Retreat-right away we knew you were special to the community of Rural Retreat, especially to the youth. Words cannot express what you do for these kids. They love you as you have loved them. Feed on this. Gain strength from it to fight this disease. You are the true "ORANGE & BLACK"!!!
with love,

Hey everyone,
I might not be able to post but I can comment. Thanks to everyone for all the prayers and the healing service yesterday. That was amazing and today had been a better day. Thanks to Pastor Jonathan he has been so supportive throughout all of our ordeals. I will let Monica keep posting for me she is doing such a wonderful job. We miss you all terribly and can't wait to get back to Rural Retreat. We love you all!
Kirk and Laura
Kirk,
Reading your comments, it sounds like things are doing better. I would think being stuck in Cleveland would serve as a great motivation for getting better and getting out of there. I'm sure you've got better motivation than that and I, like everyone else, just want you to know we are thinking about you. C.M. Peavler
