The "immediate" relief that we were all expecting Kirk to have after his procedure yesterday did not happen. He was still pretty nauseous this morning. He slept most of the day. His white blood cell count is low. The docs say this is due to the chemo treatment. He is very weak, but hopefully he will start to feel better in a few days when his blood count goes up. He received blood platelets yesterday. Laura is staying with him in his room. She is sleeping in a chair. She won't leave him for very long at a time, only long enough to get herself something to eat. Please remember Kirk and Laura both in your prayers. He is struggling right now and he needs our prayers. Remember the healing and prayer service at Grace Lutheran on Sunday at 2pm.

I have been diagnosed with cancer. The cancer is of unknown primary which means they do not know where it originated. I have several tumors on the bone. I have be working with the Cleveland Cancer Center and an oncologist in Abingdon. This site is for my friends and family to see how I am doing each day. Thanks for checking in. We just learned of your site last night. I am sorry that you did not get the results you were looking for. Being a Oncology nurse, I know the ups and downs of this dreadful disease. My patients always told me that sour stuff helped tremendously with the nausea. We are keeping you in our prayers, and anything that we can do for you or your family don't hesitate to call. Dear Kirk and Laura,
I just heard about you being sick a few days ago. I live in TX so news is rather slow reaching me sometimes. Laura I did read in the paper about your Dad and wanted to say how sorry I am, I know how hard that is in normal times much less in times like these. Kirk you have always been a fighter and I know you are now. You keep fighting and we all will keep praying for a full recovery.
