August 7th

Hey everyone,

I don't know if anyone will be checking this site anymore but just in case I wanted to say how much I appreciate all that you did for Kirk during his illness. I know Kirk was a strong man but I still think he drew strength from his many friends. He was such a good man and we were blessed to have him here as long as we did . I know that life will never be the same without him.

Thanks to all for the support since he passed away your love will help with the healing.

Again thanks to everyone and may your life be happy, healthy and full of Love!

It is with a heavy heart that I post today. Kirk went home to be with Jesus yesterday evening. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and the entire community. He is no longer suffering and that is a blessing.

Funeral arangements are...

Family will accept friends Wednesday evening, August 6th at Grace Lutheran Church in Rural Retreat from 5 pm to 8 pm.

The funeral will take place at Grace Lutheran Church in Rural Retreat at 11 am on Thursday, August 7th.

In leiu of flowers please make contributions to Rural Retreat Youth League, Rural Retreat, VA or
Cancer Outreach, 206 Abingdon Place, Abingdon, VA 24211.

Please keep Laura, Matthew, Chase, Don, and the entire family in your prayers.

Hello everyone. Not much has changed from the past couple of days. Kirk is still on the venilator. They did reduce it down to 75%. He still has an infection in his lungs. The doctors are going to start a new antibiotic today and see if that will help to clear up the infection. He had infection where his catheter was and in his blood, these are both gone now. So, that is good news. Please remember the blood drives next week. The dates and times are on yesterday's post.

We will let you know tomorrow what is going on. Thanks for everyone's concern and support.
